1 May 2019, is the adoption date for the 2019 edition of the National Construction Code (NCC) by all States and Territories. The adoption date signifies that, from today, NCC 2019 is given legal effect by relevant legislation in each State and Territory.

For domestic use, you need NCC2019, Volume 2, which, once you register, you can read on line or download a full pdf.
The Building Regulations 2018 replace the Building Regulations 2006 and the Building Interim Regulations 2017, including amendments to the consultation draft Building Regulations 2017 that were made in response to feedback in the Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) process.
The Regulations, which come into effect from 2 June 2018, are designed to reflect the changing nature of the industry, technology, equipment and methodology to deliver a better, more effective and efficient building industry that benefits both practitioners and consumers.
